As web designers, we’re expected to come up with layouts and user interfaces that not only allow for effortless navigation but are oozing with eye-catchy goodness and incorporate the personality and philosophy of the company they represent. This can be a tough task to tackle on occasion, so let’s take a look at a few design interfaces available on DeviantArt for inspiration.
Terran
The first example is one in which the design was very well thought. Terran is a design rich with textures that are out of this world and custom fonts that help drive the design. This Starcraft 2 fan site comp could work well for a lot of different games or space-oriented websites.
New Angel
If the previous example was not your type, then maybe you might want to have a look at this example. New Angel is an eye-catching design that looks geared toward the underground music scene. But really, this layout could work nicely for anything where being able to plug into social media outlets is key. There’s even an area to run a banner ad!
Olivia
Olivia is an exquisite design for any developer whose client is asking for a fullscreen background image. The navigation is simple, and the opaque content areas are unobtrusive to the background image. A very well thought out design with a care for small details.
PE Simple business WordPress theme
This PE simple business Wordpress theme comes in really handy if you’re trying to present your company in a neat and modern style. You can adjust layout settings and colors, it comes with an image carousel and widgets for social icons, and you do not even have to worry about team members or contact form, it’s all already there. It is also a responsive WordPress theme and can easily be customised to make it accessible for people with disabilities.
Palmolive
This template focuses on presenting a product in a creative way and is meant to visually stimulate and even give a small insight on what the customer is about to buy. Palmolive is a perfect design for a brand of products. An oversized navigation bar and 3 mini ads on the homepage make navigating the site a breeze, while the homepage and inner page layout make life easy for the developer. It uses a background texture that matches the product and can leave a first good impression about it.
KB Photography
If you’re looking to present your work this template might do the trick. KB Photography is an elegant layout that has potential far beyond that of just a photography site. An image slider/slideshow populates the main content area, while the text blocks underneath it are displayed nicely. I think this layout could work nicely as an eCommerce site.
Arctica
Arctica is an example you might want to have a look at. It is a visually stimulating site with a fantastic balance of icons, images, and typography. As is, the site would work perfectly for any kind of skiing, mountaineering, or related news or blog type site. While you could easily swap some images out and open up the design to endless possibilities. There was a lot of thought and work put into this awesome design.
History Channel
And if you’re looking for something different you might want to take a look at this template as well. History Channel has a nice balance of sepia and black and white tones, with a golden orange color to add a splash of color to everything without disturbing the balance of the color palette. This is a great layout for an informative site, with lots of text and content broken up and displayed nicely throughout the layout.
Emily Green
Emily Green is a design that’s just begging to be developed as a WordPress theme. With a main content slider, tons of social networking icons, multiple rows of content areas and an oversized footer, why not develop this to work with, arguably, the easiest CMS platform available? All in all this a good example of a WordPress theme that can be easily customised to best fit your interests.
Agricultural Cooperative
Last but not least, the Agricultural Cooperative design is yet another example that’s set up perfectly for one industry, farming, but by swapping out a few images your options become limitless. It’s a nice fullscreen background image, with well-placed content and a design that could easily be developed as a WordPress theme. You can also notice all the carefully thought details. Feel free to have a look and see if this is the theme you’ve looked for.

Superb templates except for the first two. The second is so hard to navigate around. The others are superb!
They are all great, maybe the second is i don’t know it shouldn’t be here…
Great web site!!
Nice List! The only ones I didn’t care for were the first 2. They hurt my eyes. Other than that I loved the list.
